Gellco Outdoors is looking for a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Full-Time Footwear Sales Associate to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has an interest in outdoor and work footwear, and takes pride in helping customers find the right products for their needs.
As a Footwear Sales Associate, you will be responsible for helping customers select footwear based on their intended use, fit, comfort, and personal preferences. Our footwear department carries products for a wide range of customers, including those looking for work boots, hunting boots, outdoor footwear, and everyday shoes.
The Full-Time Footwear Sales Associate will play an important role in maintaining the footwear department and providing an excellent customer experience. You will work directly with customers to understand what they need and recommend footwear that fits their lifestyle, job, and budget.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and willing to learn about the brands and products we carry.
Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable, and professional service
Determine customer needs and recommend footwear based on intended use, fit, comfort, and budget
Assist customers with proper sizing and fitting
Develop strong knowledge of work boots, hunting boots, outdoor footwear, and other products carried in the department
Learn the features, benefits, and differences between various footwear brands and styles
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional footwear department
Stock and merchandise footwear and accessories
Assist with receiving and organizing incoming inventory
Monitor inventory and communicate product needs to management
Help maintain accurate pricing, displays, and product organization
Multi-task effectively while assisting customers and completing other store responsibilities
Work closely with other team members to provide excellent customer service
Stay productive and self-motivated throughout the workday
Assist with other store duties as needed
Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment

Previous retail or footwear experience is preferred but not required
Experience or interest in hunting, fishing, outdoor recreation, work boots, or other outdoor products is a plus
